By hiring a dress from Dressed by Elle, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms apply to all transactions completed through our website or in person.

All dresses remain the property of Dressed by Elle at all times. When you hire a garment, you are granted temporary use for a 4-day rental period only. Ownership is not transferred, and all items must be returned in original condition by the return deadline specified at checkout.

Each hire includes a $55 refundable bond, which is built into the total hire price. The bond is refunded once the garment is returned on time and in acceptable condition, showing no damage beyond normal wear. Refunds are issued within five business days following inspection.

The 4-day hire period begins on the date of physical collection and ends on the scheduled return date. Late returns will incur fees and may result in forfeiture of the bond.

Garments must be treated respectfully and may not be altered, modified, or repaired. Any excessive damage, misuse, or forced closures (such as broken zippers) may result in full or partial loss of the bond and additional repair or replacement charges. While minor wear is acceptable, customers remain responsible for the dress’s condition during the hire.

Dressed by Elle does not provide refunds for change-of-mind, or cancelled events. Customers are encouraged to seek guidance on sizing before confirming a booking, or arrange a try-on if available.

Identification may be requested before dispatch. By proceeding with your booking, you authorise Dressed by Elle to charge the nominated payment method for hire fees, the bond, and any additional charges related to damage, non-return, or loss. In cases of non-return or irreparable damage, charges may reach up to 200% of the item’s retail value.

Dressed by Elle is not liable for courier or postal delays. Customers are advised to place orders well in advance of their event to accommodate possible delivery issues.
